This stunning Dovo Ebony Cut Throat Razor features a gold decorated spine, ornate blade with 24-karat gold etching and genuine ebony wood scales. Made from the highest quality carbon steel, this razor has a 5/8" round point, full hollow ground blade and offers the ultimate in blade hardness, elasticity and resistance to wear.

Made in Germany by one of the world's best manufacturers Dovo Solingen. 

This razor is hand-honed in the factory and is shave ready.

Material
This straight razor is made of carbon steel with the material number 1.2210, better known as silver steel. In order to achieve a hardness of approximately 61 HRC, the material is heated to over 800 degrees celsius and then immediately quenched with a special oil. The subsequent tempering at about 200 degrees celsius gives the blade elasticity and toughness. The ornaments are beautifully gold-plated with 24 karat gold.
Handle material
African cow horn is a particularly elegant material and is therefore ideally suited for forming the handle of the BERGISCHE LÖWEN. Each handle has an individual grain and distinct colour pattern. The African horn is shaped in an elaborate process to create this stylish handle. Finally, the unique piece is finely polished several times.

      Bovine Horn Handle does not look like the pictures

      Picked for the beautiful handle that was represented in the picture instead it was fully black with the bottom of the handle a white colour.

      The team at cut throat said it was a known issue with Dovo. I wish they would've checked before shipping it out.

      Basically you are paying more for the same finish as the ebony handle that is worth $150 less.

      I’ve got a pretty basic everyday razor already and got this one as a special upgrade. Im gonna have a nice set eventually and splashed out on this one – picked it because of the horn handle design and the fact that Dovo are known for their excellent quality.

      This cut throat razor really is wroth the price. The bovine horn handle has a really nice gradient and just constrasts great with the blade arm. I love the gold etching of the lobo and silver steel mark on the blade too – quite posh!
